T. Drew Coker

T. Drew Coker, BS, RD

T. Drew Coker, B.S., R.D. is a 2009 graduate of Madonna University with a bachelorís degree in dietetics. He completed his dietetic internship at Michigan State University(MSU) and became a registered dietitian in 2010. That same year he began working as a clinical dietitian at Oakwood Hospital and Medical Center in the acute care setting covering a variety of specialty units and still works on a contingent basis at the hospital. He also worked through Oakwood Hospitalís Community Clinic providing nutrition and physical activity presentations to children and adults in the Metro Detroit area. Drew is currently pursuing a Masterís degree in Kinesiology specializing in exercise physiology at Michigan State University. He works within the MSU Radiology Department as a research assistant for the (S)Partners for Heart Health Program and a graduate assistant for Sports and Cardiovascular Nutrition. As a member of the MSU Health Team Drew performs nutrition counseling for MSU athletes and the community. Drew loves the relationship that nutrition and exercise have with each other and as former college basketball player tries to stay in shape and keep up his basketball skills as much as possible. Some of Drewís personal interests include any water activity, playing video games, lifting weights, making beats on his computer and playing monopoly. His favorite food is seven-layer bars.
